Monthly challenge with Spectrum Noir

Happy February!

Today starts a new monthly challenge over in the Spectrum Noir Creative Community.   This month is all about Birthdays!    I don't know about you but I am always reaching for birthday cards.

I absolutely love coloring flowers so I decided to reach for this digi from Power Poppy Stamps- Dahlia.  I used the digi version but they do have a clear stamp available also.

I printed the digi on Neenah Classic Crest Card Pack A4 Solar White cardstock.

I love digis because you can make them any size you want!

I used a very simple color scheme marker wise- Illustrators PV1, PV2, PV3, PV4

After coloring I fussy cut and then cut to where it fit in the corner of the card.

I used some foam tape to pop up the flower and placed in the corner of a 5.25 x 5.25 piece of Neenah Classic Cardstock.   I used my distressing tool to distress the edges and then used Harmony by Spectrum Noir Water Reactive ink in Crushed Velvet and inked the edges.   I then mounted on a pirce of 5.5 x 5.5 purple cardstock and again distressed the edges.

I added some purple enamel dots and cut my sentiment that I typed myself into a banner flag piece and curled a little for some dimension.

You can join in the challenge in the Spectrum Noir Creative Community on Facebook for a chance to win $30 worth of products.

Hope you join us!

See you soon!
