Moments Like These from Lavinia Stamps and 7 Kids Crafts

I am back today with Walk through Wednesday for 7 Kids Crafts,  with a fun card featuring Lavinia Stamps, Moments like these.  This technique would work great with any of the Lavinia stamps that 7 Kids carries.

You will need ink for blending, your favorite cardstock, masking paper or sticky notes.  You can use a die to cut the circle for the sun or cutting machine, stamp and your favorite ink- just be sure it's not water reactive if your ink is, or you plan to use as.

Create your layout by masking off the moon and the snow.   I cut the snow by freehand.

Next you will take your lightest ink and lay down a light layer.    In this case I used Tattered Rose for my lightest color.

Then your mid tone ink.  For this I used Worn Lipstick.

And lastly blend in your darkest color.   For this I used Seedless Preserves.   I feel like you get the best blend working back and forth among the colors.

Once I had a blend I liked I removed my masking paper.

I then stamped the image with my stamp positioner.  I placed her so that some of the flower would be in front of the moon.   Once the image was stamped and I allowed time to ensure was dry I spritzed with water to allow the distress Oxide to react.    I then added Nuvo Glitter accents to the snow to add a bit of texture and sparkle to the snow.     I also used a white gel pen to add more texture.

Lastly I matted my image on a black mat, which I feel made the image and colors pop.

Spread Your Wings

Today I am back with a fun stamp and die bundle from The Stamp Doctor, Spread Your Wings.

I wanted something a bit more Shabby Chic with this card and love how it turned out.    I found a piece of the striped paper in my blue scrap bin and decided it was perfect for this card.

I love how aqua and brown look together so I decided to go with that combination.

I used the A2 Layers Combo from The Stamp Doctor to cut my bottom layers.    I inked the edges of my cardstock and pattern paper with Lawn Fawn Walnut Ink.   I cut the solid butterfly with the same pattern paper, but used the backside.

I then cut the detailed butterfly with brown glitter paper.

I adhered the solid one down then the glitter one, being sure to only adhere the body as I wanted to fold the rest up to give dimension like it was flying.

I then used some enamel dots for the body of the butterfly.

I then used one of the sentiments from the set and stamped at the base of the striped paper.

I added a doily to the top just to give a little added decoration.

I hope you enjoyed this card.

Leave me a comment telling me your favorite color combination, I would love to hear!!

See you soon!!

Mr. and Mrs. Donut from Some Odd Girl

I am back with another fun card, featuring Mrs. Donut from the Mr. and Mrs. Donut digital stamp set from Some Odd Girl.

I colored Mrs. Donut with Copic Markers:

Heart, Bow and Lips: R59, R37, R35, R32
Donut: E43, E47
Frosting/glaze: BG10,

Once I had the image fussy cut, I added Nuvo Morning Dew Drops.   It cracked a little, possibly because it may have been too thick or too wet, however I really liked it as donut glaze/frosting can crack.

I cut my layers with the A2 Layers Combo die set from The Stamp Doctor.  I love how this combo set takes a lot of the measuring work out of the equation!

I then inked the white with CC Designs Heart Stencil and abandoned coral distress ink.

I added a sentiment I found on Pinterest (saying only) which I typed and printed on Vellum.  I added a few Doodlebug Enamel dots to add the finishing touches.

I hope you enjoyed.

Winifred from Lavinia Stamps and 7 Kids Crafts

Today I am back with a fun card featuring Winifred from 7 Kids Crafts Store.

I am so in love with these silhouette stamps!

I started with a piece of 5.5 x 5.5 piece of white cardstock, and several distress inks:

Abandoned Coral
Spiced Marmelade
Mustard seed
Mermaid Lagoon

I cut a circle out in masking paper to mask off for the moon and then started blending.    For this card I wanted a very warm feel which is why I chose these colors.

Once I had blend I was happy with. I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink.   I then added some crystals from Pretty Pink Posh and Studio Katia.

Next I stamped one of the Lavinia Sentiments that 7 Kids carries on vellum with the same ink that I used for the image and allowed to dry before handling to reduce smudging.   The sentinment I used appears to be out of stock however there are great sentiments currently in stock.  Fairy Dust is one great one.

I then matted on a piece of 6 x 6 card base.

I hope you enjoyed!   Stay tuned as next week we will have another card with Lavinia Stamps and a walk through on the creating process.

See you soon!
