Fabulous Marci from La-La Land Crafts

Happy Friday and Valentine's Day!   I have been on a mission- one card a day and so far I have succeeded!  Today I share another fun digi-  Fabulous Marci from La-La Land Crafts.

I printed Marci on Neenah Classic Crest Card Pack from Crafter's Companion.
I then cut her out with my Scan N Cut machine.

I colored her with my Spectrum Noir Illustrators.

Colors used:

PP2, PP4, PP6
GT1, GT2, GT3
FS2, FS6, FS7, FS8
IG2, IG4, IG5, IG7, True Black

I paper pieced the dress.   You can paper piece even with a digi.  I printed a second copy and used it as a template, traced and fussy cut.

I used Mintay 6 x 6 Love Letters Paper pad and a few pieces of cardstock from Doodlebug.

I distressed the edges and added a bit of ink to create a shabby chic look.   I added some lace and a paper doily.  I used a few Crafter's Companion Vintage Lace foliage dies and added some gems from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed!

See you soon!

Heart Garland Marci from La-La Land Crafts

Today I am back with a card featuring Heart Garland Marci from La- La Land Crafts.  I just had to get one more Valentine's card done this week!

I printed this digi on Neenah Classic Crest Card Pack A4 Solar White cardstock.

I cut her out with my Scan N Cut machine.

I colored this adorable stamp with my Spectrum Noir Illustrators:

FS2, FS6, FS7, FS8
DP1
DR2, DR4, DR7
BT3, BT5
TN1, TN3, TN5

My ultimate goal for her dress was to look like red velvet so I went for a darker blend

I used pattern paper and cardstock from my stash, and added enamel dots from my stash.   I used the Pierced Scallop Oval die to put behind her in a coordinating cardstock to match the teals in her dress, shoes and banner.

I added a Love die from Hero Arts, and some pierced hearts from Sizzix.
I popped Marci up with a bit of foam tape.

I added a red Doodlebug paper doily from my stash to add a bit more frill to the card.

A few enamel dots added the finishing touches

Hope you enjoyed!

See you soon!

MG2, MG4, MG5

I added a few dots on the heart on her shirt with a white gel pen.

I cut the image out with my scan and cut.

I used pattern paper and cardstock from my stash, and added enamel dots from my stash.    I cut the dies that come in the kit with coordinating paper and cardstock from my stash.

My favorite die is the mailbox that opens/flips down.

I popped Marci, the mailbox and the ink bottle up with a bit of foam tape.

I added a few paper doilies from my stash to add a bit more frill to the card.

I absolutely love how this one turned out.

Hope you enjoyed!

Hilarious Cupid from The Paper Shelter

Today I am back with a fun Valentine's card featuring Hilarious Cupid from The Paper Shelter.

I colored this adorable image with my Spectrum Noir Illustrators:

FS2, FS6, FS7, FS8
DR2, DR4, DR7
IG2, IG4, IG5, IG7, True Black
BG2, BG4, BG7
IB1
Colorless Blender

I added a few highlights on the glasses with a white gel pen.

I cut the image out with my scan and cut and decided I wanted a bit of a border on him so I increased it a little.

I used pattern paper and cardstock from my stash, and added enamel dots from Doodlebug- Lady Bug in Glitter Dots.

I used the envelopes border die that I received in my Club La-La Land Crafts kit this month, and some Sizzix Nestabilities Heart dies so add a bit more to my card.

I decided to omit a sentiment for now as I will most likely give to my hubby for Valentine's Day and am not sure if I want something funny and snarky (after 15 years I can go funny) or sweet and romantic.

I absolutely love how this one turned out.

Hope you enjoyed!

See you soon!

Monthly challenge with Spectrum Noir

Happy February!

Today starts a new monthly challenge over in the Spectrum Noir Creative Community.   This month is all about Birthdays!    I don't know about you but I am always reaching for birthday cards.

I absolutely love coloring flowers so I decided to reach for this digi from Power Poppy Stamps- Dahlia.  I used the digi version but they do have a clear stamp available also.

I printed the digi on Neenah Classic Crest Card Pack A4 Solar White cardstock.

I love digis because you can make them any size you want!

I used a very simple color scheme marker wise- Illustrators PV1, PV2, PV3, PV4

After coloring I fussy cut and then cut to where it fit in the corner of the card.

I used some foam tape to pop up the flower and placed in the corner of a 5.25 x 5.25 piece of Neenah Classic Cardstock.   I used my distressing tool to distress the edges and then used Harmony by Spectrum Noir Water Reactive ink in Crushed Velvet and inked the edges.   I then mounted on a pirce of 5.5 x 5.5 purple cardstock and again distressed the edges.

I added some purple enamel dots and cut my sentiment that I typed myself into a banner flag piece and curled a little for some dimension.

You can join in the challenge in the Spectrum Noir Creative Community on Facebook for a chance to win $30 worth of products.

Hope you join us!
