Bee Happy Marci with La-La Land Crafts

 Happy Friday!   Today I am back with another fun card featuring products from the April 2021 La-La Land Crafts new release- Bee Happy Marci and some of the new dies and new paper.

I stamped image on Copic Xpress-It cardstock and cut with my Scan N Cut.

Copic:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, BV20

Hair: YR23, YR08, Y02, Y12

Clothing, socks shoes and headband: YR23, YR08, Y02, Y12, B00, B02, BG00

Wings: BG00, B00, B02

White Gel Pen

I stamped the Rise and Shine Background Stamp with Catherine Pooler Ink- Sauna color.

I used some of the new Awakening Paper Packet for card along with some cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.  

I used my distressing tool to distress the layers of cardstock and pattern paper.

I cut my Large Birdhouse Die from Ink Curious Metallic Cardstock from Cut Cardstock, and added a Bird Nest Die (and a few eggs) inside the birdhouse.    Behind Marci, I used the part of the Linked Squares Die.    I used some of the flowers and heart from the Large Birdhouse Die added to the card, and then added Marci with some foam tape.

I added the sentiment on the Long Flags Die- and inked with the same Sauna ink from the background stamp set.    Lastlysome sequins from Catherine Pooler - Williamsburg, as well as some light blue enamel dots to the card.  

I love how this turned out and hope you enjoyed.

Spring Weddings with Cut Cardstock

Hey everyone!   I am back with another elegant wedding layout featuring Glitter Cardstock from Cut CardStock.  Last month we attended the wedding of my cousin’s daughter and we were so happy to celebrate their special day.

I used Silk Glitter Opulent Opal Cardstock for my glitter cardstock and Curious Metallic Cardstock in Ink for my layout. I was going to use silver like I did for my first page from the wedding, but after seeing this photo of the couple I had to bring the white out. Here in Colorado we get snow into late Spring, and about a week before the wedding we got almost 2 feet, so there was still snow on the ground, especially in the mountains where the wedding was located.

I started by cutting my Curious Metallic piece to 8″ x 8″ and my Glitter cardstock to 7.5″ x 7.5″

Next I adhered the two together.

I took my 4″ x 6″ photo and created 2 mats for it. One 4.25″ x 6.25″ and one 4.5″ x 6.5″. The white glitter cardstock will go behind the photo. The blue will go sideways behind.

You will want to use a good strong adhesive with glitter cardstock. In this case I used redline tape.

Next I adhered my photo to the page.

Adhere your blue mat sideways, and then you can put the photo mat on the page.

I used a bracket die from La-La Land Crafts with my glitter cardstock to add a bit of elegance and carry the white more. Next I cut a 2021 die from La-La Land Crafts with both my glitter cardstock and my blue.

I adhered the 21 in the blue to the white with liquid glue.

I then cut another word die (again from La-La Land Crafts) Love you Always- but then cut just the love out.

I added to the top of my photo.

To add the finishing touches I added some blue tones in enamel dots.

I love how this layout turned out especially with the black and white photo! I would love to hear your thoughts too!

Pet Loving Marci from the April 2021 Club La-La Land Crafts

 

Hey everyone!  Happy Tuesday!   Today I am back with some additional inspiration using the April 2021 Club La-La Land Crafts Kit.   There is still time to join and get this month's kit.  

For my first card, I have Pet Loving Marci looking into her fish bowl from the backside.

I stamped my images on Copic Xpress It paper and cut with my Scan N Cut.

I had toyed with the idea of having Marci looking into the bowl, but just could not seem to see it- that is until one of my markers blobbed and I had to either start over on coloring her or change her up since the body was messed up.

I cut the fish bowl with white cardstock, and then with a light blue vellum and acetate so that I would have the inside of the bowl with the vellum and acetate.   I laid Marci down on the card and then assembled the bowl putting the vellum down over her, then adding the fish and other items, then adding the acetate.   I wanted the acetate for 2 reasons- I wanted the shine of it to look like glass, but all of these layers diffused Marci and made it look more like she was looking into the bowl.

I used the Spring Has Sprung Pattern Paper for my pattern.  

I cut the Bird Cage Die, and added my Parrot to the outside with foam tape and then added the turtle just on the outside of the bowl.    I added one of the sentiments to the top right (inked slightly with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide) and then added some light blue dew drop like embellishments to both the bowl and the card.

I am so thrilled with how this card turned out.

Goes to show you- just because you "mess up" doesn't mean it's messed up.

Next up I have a fun card, featuring Marci and some of her friends.

I used the Pet Cage Die, and added some of the sea weed from the fish bowl to the pet cage like it was grass or feed.

I added my bunny and guinea pig to the card.     I used the Spring has Sprung Pattern Paper for the card.   I added the sentiment to one of the Double Stitched Squares Dies.   

Lastly I added some enamel dots to the card for the finishing touches.

Day 6 of the April 2021 La-La Land Crafts New Release- Honey Bear

 Welcome to Day 6 of the La-La Land Crafts New Release.  

Today I share the Honey Bear Clear Stamp Set.  How cute are these bears?

I stamped the bears on Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock and cut with my Scan N Cut.

I used the Awakening Paper Pack from the new release.  I cut dies from all 3 of the new Hexagon Dies released this month to create layers for my card and bears.  I also cut the Honey Jar Die and the Beehive Die, and inked all of my layers with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink.

I used the Long Flags Dies to cut my sentiment and inked it.   I added foam tape behind it before adding to the card.

I added some enamel dots from Doodlebug to carry on my yellow theme to add the finishing touches.

I love how this turned out and hope you enjoyed.

Day 5 of the La-La Land Crafts April 2021 New Release

 

Welcome to Day 5 of the April 2021 La-La Land Crafts Release. 

Now for my card for today featuring Soul Mona.    

I stamped Mona with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored as below:

I added some roses to her dress and love how it turned out.   

I wanted her to have a bit of a carefree vibe so I mixed some of my pattern papers from the Awakening Paper Pack.   

I used a white gel pen to add button like embellishments to her boots.

I used the Flower Dies and leaves from the new Large Birdhouse Die to add around Mona, and added some gems to the flowers. 

I used the new Layering Daffodils Stencil Set, with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to add some texture to the Largest of the Double Stitched Ovals  I used the Pierced Scalloped Ovals Dies behind the Double Stitched Ovals Die.

I added the sentiment to the side of MonaI love how this turned out and hope you enjoyed.

Day 4 of the April 2021 La-La Land Crafts New Release- -Just Bee-Cause

 Welcome to Day 4 of the April 2021 La-La Land Crafts New Release

Today I am sharing a project I made with the Just Bee-Cause Clear Stamp Set and some of the other new products.

I had a box bottom from a recent purchase of a bluetooth speaker so instead of creating my own box, I just covered it with cardstock and pattern paper.

I stamped the images on Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock and cut with Scan N Cut.

I used the Double Stitched Hexagons Dies with the Inverted Scallops Hexagon Die along with the newest paper pack- Awakening.   I inked everything with Mustard Seed Distress Ink.    I then cut the Bee Hive Die and also inked it.

I filled a domed plastic cup with Yellow Gumballs and cupcake sprinkles and then added a yellow paper straw.   I added one of my bees to the straw and filled the box with some left over Easter basket grass.

Now I have a fun, and sweet little gift.
