I am back today with Walk through Wednesday for 7 Kids Crafts, with a fun
card featuring Lavinia Stamps, Moments like these. This technique would work great with
any of the Lavinia stamps that 7 Kids carries.
You will need ink for
blending, your favorite cardstock, masking paper or sticky notes. You can
use a die to cut the circle for the sun or cutting machine, stamp and your
favorite ink- just be sure it's not water reactive if your ink is, or you
plan to use as.
Create your layout by
masking off the moon and the snow. I
cut the snow by freehand.
Next you will take
your lightest ink and lay down a light layer.
In this case I used Tattered Rose for my lightest color.
Then your mid
tone ink. For this I used Worn Lipstick.
And lastly blend in
your darkest color. For this I used
Seedless Preserves. I feel like you get
the best blend working back and forth among the colors.
Once
I had a blend I liked I removed my masking paper.
I then stamped the image with my stamp positioner. I placed her so that some of the flower would
be in front of the moon. Once the image
was stamped and I allowed time to ensure was dry I spritzed with water to allow
the distress Oxide to react. I then
added Nuvo Glitter accents to the snow to add a bit of texture and sparkle to
the snow. I also used a white gel pen
to add more texture.
Lastly I matted my image on a black mat, which I
feel made the image and colors pop.
